What is Enterprise 2.0
Enterprise social software, also known as Enterprise
2.0, is a term describing social software used in
"enterprise" (business) contexts. It includes social and
networked modifications to company intranets and other
classic software platforms used by large companies to
organize their communication. In contrast to traditional
enterprise software, which imposes structure prior to use,
this generation of software tends to encourage use prior to
providing structure.

CorePlus’ vision
of Enterprise 2.0 evolves around the combination of the best
of breed Web 2.0 applications, the powerful tool of
Corporate Social Networking, and the time tested
traditional applications such as Microsoft, Quickbooks, or
any other off the shelf application software that a company
currently is using.
CorePLUS allows employees to access these tools and
documents from their mobile device, or any device with an
internet connection. Tools that have been adapted for
enterprise use include hypertext or unstructured search
tools, wikis, blogs, tagging, RSS, collaborative software,
and much more.
Business processes often rely on access to structured data.
This may be spread across many applications, databases, and
directories. Social technologies work to address such
complexities. Many fields are beginning to embrace
Enterprise 2.0 with individual and specific components of
Web 2.0, but only Coreplus has created a single source for
all IT, application, and infrastructure with the most
current technology available today. All on demand, for a
predictable cost to the enterprise.
